TNM plc increases sponsorship

In a Scintillating development in the Country’s football landscape, TNM plc has increased sponsorship of the country’s top flight league from K150 million to K500 million.

This was unveiled at a ceremony organized by TNM plc in Blantyre yesterday, the 25th of April 2024.

Reacting to the development, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Fleetwood Haiya thanked TNM for the wonderful gesture and hailed the continued positive relationship between the two entities despite leadership changes.

In his words TNM Chief Executive Officer Michel Herbert, stated that they came up with the package in reaction to the people’s outcry on the insufficient league prize which was not enough to satisfy the needs of many elite teams .

The new package will see Champions pocketing K100 million , runners up pocketing K40 million while third place team will be pocketing K30 million.

In addition all teams will be pocketing a Whooping K10 million subvention to help in preparations and day to day operations.

FAM and SULOM set earlier this year valued the country’s top flight league at K1.5 billion
