Kambala to step aside for Mary Nkhamanyachi Chilima even if he wins UTM Convention

Newton Kambala, one of the key contenders in the upcoming UTM Party convention, has indicated that he would willingly step aside for Mary Nkhamanyachi Chilima, even if he emerges victorious. This surprising development highlights Kambala’s commitment to party unity and his respect for Chilima’s influence within UTM.
Kambala, a seasoned politician, has made it clear that his candidacy is aimed at ensuring UTM remains strong and united ahead of the 2025 general elections. He believes that Mary Nkhamanyachi Chilima, wife of the late Vice President Saulos Chilima, is a pivotal figure in the party and should lead the party going forward.
