Blantyre City South East constituency legislator Sameer Suleman, has claimed that his life is being hunted by the hunters of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) advising Richard Chimwendo Banda, Baba Steven Malondera and Dr. Kenneth Zikhale Ng’oma that he can bring his life closer to them.

Suleman said on Saturday, his friend who is a Member of Parliament (MP) of Karonga, Kenneth Ndovie was driving from Mzuzu to Karonga on the M1 Road in the Chikangawa forest using a small car with Parliament registration number plate and he noticed a White Prado following him without registration number.

He said Ndovie realized while driving that the Prado was following and tracking him saying he drove fast turning Mzimba turn-off and stopped at a certain trading centre where there were many people to rescue him.

The Parliamentarian said the Prado blocked Ndovie in the front and immediately two bouncers got off from the vehicle with guns in their hands, they started searching in his vehicle and Ndovie asked them of what they were checking, they answered, we are hunting for Suleman.

The bouncers apologized to Ndovie for what happened, mistaken identity and in a state of shock, he phoned Daud Suleman thinking that he was phoning him and started narrating the whole story and was advised to talk to the right person, Suleman.

Speaking through an audio clip, Suleman said he knows why he is being hunted by the hunters of the MCP reminding the MCP that Malawi is a democratic country where everyone has the right to express himself and join a party of his choice.

Suleman has advised Richard Chimwendo Banda, Baba Steven Malondela and Dr. Kenneth Zikhale Ngioma that they should not take Malawi as that of 1964 saying what the three are doing is salvage politics.

He said he has identified the vehicle in which the bouncers were travelling in and their identities that they were MCP intelligence officers challenging them that even if they can take his life today, there is no way Malawi would go back to one party state and dictatorship.

“Why hunting to take away my life, we are in democracy where everyone is free to express oneself, I can bring my life closer to you to achieve your plans,” said Suleman.

A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has accused the MCP of not wanting to change to the better saying it is sad that the MCP which was known for killing innocent people in Malawi is back with the present MCP.

Kamphangala has asked the MCP what is the party achieving after killing Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest and alleged plans to kill Bakili Muluzi TV, Comrade Mtanyiwa, Bon Kalindo, Professor Mutharika, Kamlepo Kalua and Norman Chisale, among others?

“MCP will not rule the country for life, one day all these assassins will be arrested, prosecuted and serve prison sentences and if not mob justice will apply to them,” he said.
