MCP Deputy Publicist Kenneth Chitatata Msonda has stated that no corruption can occur in the government without his knowledge, claiming he would have spoken out against it to avoid being implicated.
Msonda said he started active politics years ago and has witnessed corruption scandals in UDF, DPP, PP, and MCP, as well as the current DPP administration.
He emphasized that corruption cannot happen without him being aware of it, implying that he is vigilant and would not condone such activities.
He revealed that he is aware of allegations that senior MCP members were sharing NEEF loans among themselves, but he chose not to be part of it.
Msonda claimed he even advised his son to cancel a K50 million loan that had been approved to avoid any potential implications.
In an audio clip, Msonda strongly denied allegations that MCP members shared the loans among themselves, attributing the distribution to Malawians from all political parties.
He demanded to see the original document from the computer (the cloud, which cannot be deleted) to clarify the situation, rather than relying on the document read by Minister of Agriculture Roza Mbilizi in Parliament.
Msonda acknowledged that some people are repaying NEEF loans, while others are considering repayment, and some squandered the money and are now facing financial difficulties.
He urged people not to condemn all beneficiaries of NEEF loans as thieves.
Msonda stated that he was denied a NEEF loan and is not complaining, as he believes God provides for him in other ways.
He emphasized that no one can accuse him of being a thief, and he has not given his PIN to anyone to access loans.
Msonda dismissed claims that he has gone to the police to report his PIN as missing, describing them as propaganda.
He challenged anyone to prove that he has benefited from NEEF loans, stating that his name is not among the 5 million beneficiaries from 2020-2025.
