Cannabis Body Searches For Markets

Malawi’s industrial and medicinal cannabis farmers will not have their produce wasted.

This is because the Cannabis Regulatory Authority-CRA continues to search for more viable markets.

The move follows reports that some off-takers are relaxed on their operations which CRA Chief Executive Officer Ketulo Salipira fears may negatively affect farmers.

The CRA board is expected to meet next month to revise downwards cultivating and processing license fees.

Such fees stand at $10,000 ( Mk9 million) for each member at the moment.
