Comedian Chaponda Visits Chakwera At State House

President Chakwera on Monday hosted celebrated UK-based Malawian comedian, Daliso Chaponda, at Kamuzu Palace.

In their interaction, Dr Chakwera encouraged Daliso to continue waving Malawi’s flag high across the world and being the national treasure that he is.

For his part, Daliso thanked the Malawi leader for supporting the arts industry by creating an environment in Malawi where freedom of expression is truly respected.

The renowned comedian pledged to continue bringing comedy shows to Malawi, now that Malawi is a place where his craft is welcome.

Daliso also introduced to the President, Ugandan comedian Salvado, and the two took turns to make the President laugh with their jokes before thanking him for his uncommon humility, generosity, and hospitality saying it was an honour ‘Itsanana’!
