Malawi-NAM Plans To Introduce Youth League.

By Suleman Chitera Aug16,2022

Netball Association of Malawi-NAM has hinted on plans to introduce a youth league.

NAM General Secretary, Isaac Chimwala, has told Rainbow Online that once the league starts, it will help player transition from the junior teams to Queens senior team.

However, Chimwala said it is not easy, but hopes to achieve the dream as the country has talent.

In 2019, NAM and FDH Bank sealed a sponsorship deal valued at 360 million kwacha for three years of which K45 million was to fund a netball cup, but surprisingly up-to-date nothing has happened for the introduction of the cup.

Currently, Queens senior team has started preparations for Netball World Cup qualifying games which will begin on 21 August in South Africa.
