Political activist Bon Kalindo, says he would have loved government regulate churches claiming that Malawi is now flooded with fake Prophets, Pastors and Reverends.
Kalindo has observed that in Malawi one can just woke up from bed to start his own church and people are joining him in the name of proclaiming the Kingdom of God.
He said he finds no difference between politicians and these Prophets who are running their own churches claiming that most of them are corrupt – this is why they are richer than all of their followers.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said most Prophets and Pastors are making their folowers poor by asking them to contribute more than expected with a promise that by the end of the month, they will have cars to drive on the road.
Kalindo has lamented that many women are joining these churches for God to give them a good and loving husband, while others are praying for abundant life and food.
He has claimed that these Prophets and Pastors are being seen busy praying together with these women and others, are being taken as their girl friends in the name of the Holy Spirit.
The Activist said it is only Christian churches where one can claim ownership of the church and people are praying and praising him more than God with trust that he will carry their expectations to God.
“There’s no one who can own a church, a church is a group of people, and out of these groups, there’s a Pastor, Reverend and Prophet who is rich that everyone in the church,” said Kalindo.
He said Rwandan President Paul Kagame closed down some of the churches in his country so that the owners find the other businesses for quick riches saying that policy in Rwanda was passed to minimize thieves in the house of God.
Kalindo has lamented that there are other people who does nothing only depending on praying to God to give them food and whatever there lives need saying this attitude of praying anytime is promoting laziness among church gowers calling for a deliberate policy to stop this for the people to be hard working.
He said for one to be rich in Malawi, he or she has to join politics or starting his church lamenting that donors and well – wishers are providing support to the needy in the church but all this end up in the crooked hands of Prophets, Pastors and Reverends that God has provided to them as owners of their respective churches.
