President Dr Lazarus Chakwera demonstrated his commitment to the country’s development by visiting Mbelwa Stadium, in Mzimba District constructed by Manobec Ltd
With a seating capacity of 12,500, this iconic initiative will add value to the country’s infrastructure, and promote sports in the country.
Minister of Transport and Public Works, Jacob Hara, described the construction as a significant milestone in the history of sports infrastructure in the country.
Project Manager for Manobec Construction, Victor Msowoya, assured the President that the stadium’s work is almost complete, and it’s expected to be ready by December this year.
President Chakwera also visited the construction site of Chief Mbelwa District Council Office Complex. Also expected to be completed by December, this development will help improve the operations of the district council and promote efficient service delivery.
Upon arrival, President Chakwera was welcomed by Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima, Transport Minister Jacob Hara, Deputy Minister of Local Government Owen Chomanika, former Vice President Khumbo Kachali, and other senior government officials.
