Embattled newly created entity, National Development Party (NDP) has officialy welcomed former General Secretary for Alliance For Democracy Party-AFORD, Wakuda Kamanga into the party today.
Wakuda who suspended from the party on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 for ‘gross indiscipline has joined together with former AFORD Director of Events, Judith Mang’anda.
Kamanga has been accused of leaking classified information which contain top party secret to other parties.
But speaking during the press briefing in Lilongwe, Kamanga has rebutted the accusations hence he has decided to resign from the party saying he was assaulted by a mob in his office.
However in his capacity, Kamanga distanced himself from the allegations saying this is a blue lie and that a foul play is being played by some individuals who wish to tarnish his image.
In a statement signed the party’s Publicity Secretary Annie Maluwa said the party is accusing him and Judith Mang’onda of ‘betraying’ same finger that feeds them.
“As confidentiality and oaths of secrecy remain some of the core elements in every political party’s top seat, details emerge that the Alliance For Democracy (AFORD) secretary general Wakuda Kamanga has breached the two leading to him being called for expulsion from the party.
” It’s true that after finding out that he was responsible for leaking some private information of the party to some parties, we called for a hearing and we have submitted the findings to the presidential council for them to have a say,” grieved Maluwa.
Anonymous sources told us that Kamanga has been a bedfellow of AFORD’s rivals in the north, People’s Development Party which is led by Frank Mwenefumbo together with Mang’onda.
He said it is very pathetic seeing a seasoned politician Kamanga betraying the party in such a way which is a disgrace hence opting for his expulsion.
“Enough is enough!, how can Wakuda serve two masters at once? We are tired of him and we don’t need him here!” he said with emotional voice.
In defending its jurisdiction, AFORD has decided to strike a whip on him and Judith accordingly.
Kamanga is well know politician who has been to almost political parties in country which include MCP, DPP, AFORD, PP among others.
