National Reform Party (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has cast his ballot in Zambia’s 2026 General Election, calling on citizens to exercise their democratic right and use their votes to determine the country’s future.

Mundubile voted on Thursday as millions of registered voters across Zambia took part in the presidential, parliamentary and local government elections.

Speaking after casting his ballot, Mundubile said the election presented Zambians with an opportunity to choose the direction they want their country to take.

“Every vote is a voice, and every voice matters,” Mundubile said.

He urged voters to participate peacefully and make choices based on the kind of Zambia they want to see in the future.

“Choose the Zambia we believe in,” he said.

Mundubile is among the candidates competing for the presidency in an election that has attracted significant public interest as voters choose national and local leaders.

In addition to the President and Members of Parliament, voters are electing mayors, council chairpersons and councillors across the country.

Polling stations are scheduled to close at 18:00 hours. However, voters who are already in queues at the official closing time are expected to be allowed to cast their ballots.

The election is being closely watched as Zambians exercise their constitutional right to choose their leaders and determine the country’s political direction for the coming term.

Authorities have urged voters to maintain peace and order throughout the voting process, while electoral officials continue overseeing the conduct of polling stations across the country.
