His Excellency the State President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has arrived back in the country through Kamuzu International Airport.
The President accompanied by the First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera left the country on Monday, March 14th 2022, for New York United States of America (USA) where he attended the first part of the fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Counties (UN-LDC5) which took place at the UN Headquarters.
While in the USA, the President also had series of successful meetings with a number of people and organisations, including a meeting with the United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres; Her Excellency Heidi Schroderus -Fox, Acting High Representative for Least Developing Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS); the UNDP administrator, Director General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken and several others
