Activist Suleman Chitera welcomes Mutharika back to Malawi following President Arthur Peter Mutharika’s return from a private trip to the Republic of South Africa.
Chitera has welcomed the President back home and expressed his appreciation for his return to Malawi.
President Mutharika returned through Kamuzu International Airport after spending time in South Africa on a private trip.
His return comes as Malawi continues to follow developments surrounding the President and his engagements both at home and abroad.
Suleman Chitera welcomes Mutharika and wishes the President well as he resumes his duties in Malawi.
The President also expressed sadness over the death of Malawi Broadcasting Corporation Director General Brian Banda, who died while Mutharika was away in South Africa.
Mutharika described Banda as his friend and said his death was a big loss to the country.
Chitera said the President’s return provides an opportunity for him to continue engaging Malawians on issues of national importance.
