Blantyre, December 23: Vice President, Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima on Friday joined Malawians in mourning former General Manager for the state run Petroleum Control Commission (PCC), Dennis Spax Kambalame.
Kambalame died on December 20 after succumbing to high blood pressure and was laid to rest Friday at Catholic Institute (CI) Cemetery in Blantyre.
Speaking at the funeral ceremony in Nyambadwe, Blantyre, Chilima described the late Kambalame as a gentleman whose life portrayed everything to learn from in this world.
“I came to know the late Kambalame in the 1980s and we became friends although he was older than me. His commitment to the Catholic Church was unmatched and one lesson which all of us should learn from him is that adversity must bring us closer to God,” said Chilima.
