Bon Kalindo, leader of the Malawi First movement, arrived at Area 3 Police Station today, where UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati is currently being held. Kalindo expressed frustration over the police’s lack of clear communication regarding Kaliati’s transfer to court, urging for swift action.
Kalindo, known for his outspoken activism, insisted that the police should be pressured to expedite the process. “We need to push them; otherwise, they won’t release her,” he stated, emphasizing the urgency of taking action before the end of the day.
Joining Kalindo at the police station are other notable political figures, including Sameer Suleman and Mary Navicha of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), highlighting the growing support and concern across political lines for Kaliati’s situation.
As tensions build outside Area 3 Police Station, Kalindo’s call for action is resonating with supporters gathered at the scene, all demanding answers and a fair legal process for Kaliati.
