Tobacco At High Demand At International Market
The Tobacco Commission TC says it intends to increase the production of tobacco in the country to 200 Million Kilogrammes before the year 2028.
The development follows high demand of Malawian leaf at international market.
Speaking to MIJ Online Godfrey Chapola, Chairperson of Tobacco Commission disclosed that the commission has found new markets which require huge production of tobacco in the country.

Chapola has also called on tobacco farmers to continue growing high quality tobacco arguing that this assist to attract more buyers on the market.
Concurring with Chapola, Elida Kazira Director of Crop Development in the Ministry of Agriculture advised farmers to remain optimistic and adhere to laws guiding the production of Tobacco.
