The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) presidential candidate for the 2025 elections, His Excellency Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika, has officially launched his series of public rallies at Chonde Trading Centre. Initially planned for Chinakanaka, the venue was changed due to the overwhelming crowd gathered at Chonde, prompting the leader to address them there.

Speaking at the rally, Prof. Mutharika expressed gratitude for the warm reception and love shown by the large crowd. He urged Malawians who have not yet registered to vote to take advantage of the extended voter registration period to ensure they participate in this September’s elections.

On party matters, Mutharika emphasized that the DPP is now unified. He stated that all disruptive elements within the party have been dealt with, ensuring that every member is fully behind his leadership as the party prepares for the upcoming elections.

The rally marked the beginning of the DPP’s campaign efforts, with Prof. Mutharika aiming to regain public trust and secure victory in 2025.
