Maranatha International to Open Hospitals Across Malawi, Offers Free Medical Services During Launch Week
Maranatha International has announced plans to establish hospitals across Malawi as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at improving access to quality healthcare.
The organisation’s Director, Ernest Kaonga, said the first facilities, to operate under the name Matete Medical Care, will officially open this week in Lunzu and Machinjiri in Blantyre, as well as Mponela in Dowa District.Maranatha Academy lands scholarship with Shadah University
Kaonga said members of the public will benefit from free medical consultation services during the first week of operations, with patients only required to pay for prescribed medication.
“Malawians will access free medical services during the first week. Patients will only pay for medication prescribed after consultation. This is one way of giving back to the community,” said Kaonga.Maranatha Academy Partners with India’s Sharda University
Maranatha International, which is widely recognised for its contribution to the education sector in Malawi, says the expansion into healthcare reflects its commitment to supporting communities beyond education.
The organisation believes the establishment of Matete Medical Care facilities will help improve access to essential health services while complementing government efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the country.Maranatha Academy Delays Top Students’ Victoria Falls Trip Due to Forex Shortage
