Political activist Bon Kalindo has thanked Malawians for coming out in their large numbers on the 16th September, 2025 holding a huge demonstration that has taught President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP, a lesson tot to be forgotten.
Kalindo said the 16th September, 2025 demonstrations were the second after the 1992 demos where Malawians told openly the late Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda that they were sick and tired with his one-party MCP and dictatorship rule.
He has asked Malawians that are anxiously waiting for the results of the elections, not to be moved by the street protests the MCP is organizing to force Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja to declare that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has won the elections from the backdoor.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said he saw the late Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima voting on the 16th September in all the polling stations across the country speaking for itself that Malawians are demanding answers to circumstances surrounding Dr. Chilima’s death.
Kalindo has thanked Malawians for voting without mercy saying even the figures themselves, they are speaking that Malawians were voting for change of leadership extending his thanks to Kasiya people in Lilongwe and the whole central region for voting against President Chakwera.
He has described all those that are holding MCP protests in Lilongwe that their demonstrations have no impact to the country, Malawians spoke and chose Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as their President-Erect to take over from President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
The activist has advised DPP not to hold any press briefing saying instead, they should take the money to their monitors that did a good job to protect the peoples’ vote and not to accept MCP panga wielding thugs joining them saying this is the time to arrest them all, they need to go to prison and rot there.
“Malawians cannot receive apology from panga wielding thugs, they have terrorized, hacked, threatening and intimidating innocent people including hacking civil servants in Lilongwe, ignorance is not defense, arrest and prosecute them,” said Kalindo.
He has also thanked opposition party leaders in the names of Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, Phunziro Mvula, Akwame Bandawe, Frank Mwenefumbo, Dr. Joyce Banda and others, for accepting defeats and sending congratulatory messages to Professor Mutharika describing them as Malawi’s true patriots.
Kalindo has finally asked all Malawians that are not happy with Mec’s delay in releasing the results, to lower their temperatures by letting Justice Annabel Mtalimanja do her job at her own pace warning AAtupele Muluzi and the UDF that if care is not made, UDF, the champion of democracy in Malawi, will die a natural death.
