Kalindo calls MCP supporters to accept defeat

By Vincent Gunde

Political activist Bon Kalindo, has asked Malawi Congress Party (MCP) supporters to accept defeat in the 16th September, 2025 general elections advising them that plans to kill Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is not a solution to their defeat.

Kalindo said this is the best time for the MCP to go back to the drawing board to find where it went wrong after dishing out free for all money in K50,000s, K2,000s, T-shirts and zitenjes to the electorate but they ended up voting for Professor Mutharika.

He has warned individuals in the MCP who are strategizing on their plans to hire foreign assassins to eliminate the life of Professor Mutharika that they will all be arrested and charged of treason saying this is not political witch-hunting.

Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo has advised MCP to sit down and prepare for the 2030 elections other than devising ways and means of getting rid of somebody’s life to advance their political ambitions.

Kalindo said it is not surprising that some MCP members at the State House are looting property describing this as the act of criminality assuring them that they are playing with fire and they should not cry that the new government is witch-hunting them.

He said the MCP was well-prepared for the inauguration of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in Mzuzu saying 2000 bicycles were procured to escort him to the Swearing-in ceremony alongside piles and piles of MCP zitenjes and T-shirts saying all this has been wasted.

The activist said because their plans for Chakwera’s inauguration have failed, they are now conspiring of inviting foreign assassins to kill Professor Mutharika describing this as useless questioning the MCP that if they kill Professor Mutharika today, mill Malawians accept Chakwera as their President?

“MCP is a party which cannot change to the better, the party is still MCP of the past where killings of innocent citizens were the order of the day,” said Kalindo.

He has praised Professor Mutharika that before his inauguration as President of the country, Malawians have seen their country which had no fuel having fuel in its reserves, no forex having forex and maize prices slashed down advising Mutharika to continue with other basic needs.

To the DPP, Kalindo has advised DPP cadets to refrain from being used by politicians claiming that those who were sent to kill Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest on the 10th June, 2024 will be hunted for arrests and prosecutions.

“This is a lesson to all the youth that are being used by politicians to carryout atrocities against humanity, you will rot in the country’s prisons,” said Kalindo.

He has finally advised Professor Mutharika that millions of Malawians voted for him with high hopes that he will institute an investigation on circumstances surrounding Dr. Chilima’s death warning him that if Malawians sees nothing coming out, they will hold the first demonstrations against him.
