According to Dowa Police Public Relations Officer Alice Sitima, officers acted swiftly on a tip-off indicating that a man at Nyemba Village in the area of Traditional Authority Msakambewa was keeping a suspicious motor vehicle at his home.

Upon arriving at the residence, police found the Nissan Navara parked within the premises and immediately launched preliminary investigations.

Sitima said inquiries revealed that the vehicle had allegedly been brought to the village by the homeowner’s son, identified as Blessings Mbalangwe, who is believed to be residing in South Africa.

The recovered vehicle has since been impounded and handed over to the Anti-Motor Vehicle Branch for further investigations to establish its ownership and determine whether it is linked to any reported vehicle theft cases.
