Kaonga returns to Ekwendeni Hammers

The towering defender Eric Kaonga has rejoined Ekwendeni Hammers Football Club, three years after he left the club.

Kaonga has signed a three-year deal with the Hammers to provide defensive cover for coach Elias Chirambo.

Kaonga was a free agent after leaving FCB Nyasa Big Bullets where he won 11 trophies, including three Super League titles.

“I’m excited to be back home and to play again for the Iron Boys and I promise all the fans for the Iron Boys that I will continue from where I left before joining Bullets” said Kaonga after signing the deal

Chirambo believes Kaonga’s return will help fixing the leftback crisis where he was improvising several players including Mathews Banda, Jimmy Msiska and Aubrey Simbi.
