
Mzimba South District 3rd Children’a Parliament Session Opens
Under the theme: Children’s Voices Matter, the 2022 Children’s Parliament Session has opened with a call to duty bearers to provide space for children to participate in public life by including in the country’s socioeconomic development agenda issues they have voiced during such deliberations.
Speaking on behalf of fellow child parliamentarians during the official opening of the two-day session, Leader of the House, Faith Mzumara, noted with concern that children in Malawi continue to face different challenges including infringement of their rights.

This year’s Mzimba South Children’s Parliament Session is the third and has been supported by Save the Children, CCAP Livingstonia Synod, Education Department, Mmbelwa District Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare and other partners.
