The Public Accounts Committee of Parliament is recommending criminal proceedings against those implicated in the plunder of funds and government property at Malawi’s High Commission in Kenya.
The recommendations are contained in a report which was presented in parliament by the committee’s Chairperson Mark Botomani.
According to Botomani, what transpired in Kenya should not be repeated in other embassies, hence the need for action against those responsible for the mess.
Speaking to Capital FM, Botomani highlights that the adoption of the report by the house, means immediate implementation of what has been recommended.
