Striker Promise Kamwendo has returned to Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos FC after being ordered by the country’s football governing body (FAM) to do so following his transfer saga involving Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

The striker trained with the rest of the squad on Wednesday morning ahead of the team’s next assignment against Creck Sporting Club on Saturday.

“I am not at a new environment at all but a place where I have been for the past three seasons so I am only focused on what I am supposed to do,” Kamwendo said.

Asked if he is mentally affected with what has happened Kamwendo responded “not at all I am a player and my survival depends on playing football so as long as I am playing football, I am happy.”

The former Extreme FC striker knows very well that he has lost trust of his fans but he was quick to ask for forgiveness from everyone he has offended.

“In life we make mistakes and whatever has happened I am to blame so I just need people to understand me and trust me again,” he lamented.

Talking about his desire to finish the season as the top goal-scorer, Kamwendo said he is not giving up despite missing a number of games after his transfer was put on hold by FAM following a complaint received.

“I know that I could have been somewhere by now but we still have as many games to be played so I will use every opportunity given to be at my level best more than I was,” Kamwendo indicated.

He finally thanked the management of Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos FC and the technical panel for welcoming him back.

“They have shown all their support to me which is very important to me as an individual because I know that I am home,” he said.

Meanwhile, coach Andrew Bunya says the technical panel is happy to have him back in the squad.

“He is our player and we know what he can offer us so we welcome him back with open arms,” Bunya indicated.

Kamwendo remains the team’s leading top goal scorer this season with 8 goals in all competitions.
