Blantyre, Malawi – The Chairperson of the Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM), Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad, has cast his vote at the Blantyre Tax Office in Blantyre District this afternoon. His message was one of peace, unity, and acceptance as Malawians continue to exercise their democratic right during the 2025 Malawi General Elections.

After voting, Sheikh Muhammad called on the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) to ensure that the elections are conducted in a manner that is fair, transparent, and credible. He stressed the importance of delivering results that reflect the will of the people, saying the process should benefit all Malawians.

The respected religious leader also advised all presidential and parliamentary candidates to remain calm and patient as votes are counted. He encouraged them to accept the outcome of the elections in the spirit of democracy, warning against actions that could destabilize peace and unity in the country.
