Lilongwe Police publicist Hastings Chigalu has identified the suspects as Godfrey Mbewe, 25, and Sackson Mbewe, 29, while the runaway suspect is yet to be identified.

Chigalu said that the arrest was due to a tip-off from well-wishers stating that the three were offering for sale a pistol and ammunition at K1.5 million at a certain drinking place at the named trading center.

In addition he said that, the law enforcers followed up the matter which led to arrest of the two while the other one managed to run away.
