A second eye witness in the Chikangawa forest plane crash Flora Mkandawire, has again told the inquiry committee investigating circumstances surrounding the death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, that she was confronted by two soldiers in uniform a minute before the plane crash, that the place was not for fetching firewood.
In the Tuesday’s evidence, Ephraim Duma said the same that soldiers opened fire at community members to chase them away from the scene of the plane crash speaking to itself that there were soldiers in the forest waiting for the plane.
Flora Mkandawire said she saw the plane coming from the direction of Mzuzu with its tyres out ready to land saying it stood in the air for about 3 minutes and she heard a crushing sound and thereafter, three gunshots were heard at the scene where the plane crashed.
Bakili Muluzi TV online television station has for all along been saying that the plane disappeared on the radar and it was traveling zig – zag at 360 degrees claiming that soldiers failed to hunt for the missing plane while it was only 300 metres away from the M1 Road.
He said the plane crashed at 10;00 a.m and at 11:00 p.m is when President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera announced to the nation that the search operation was on while the same was suspended after well – wishers joined the soldiers in the searching operation.
The Activist said by the time President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera announced to the nation of the plane crash in the Chikangawa forest, Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, were already killed, the mission was accomplished.
Bakili Muluzi TV has always been questioning Dr. Lazarus Chakwera that the plane crashed at 10:00 a m why it took 8 hours after to send a searching team and what was he waiting for considering that his second in command was in that plane?
“Malawians heard of the plane crash from Bakili Muluzi TV and Limpopo ‘FM, Dr. Saulosi Chilima was killed like a dog on Monday, 10th June, 2024 there’s no doubt about this,” he said.
On 18th May, 1983 Dick Matenje, Aaron Gadama, Twaibu Sangala and David Chiwanga were tragically murdered by the MCP of Kamuzu Banda and their bodies were dumped at Thambani in Mwanza district faking a car accident but the inquiry established reported that they were killed by police officers.
In 1986 it took about 8 hours for the South African government dominated by white minority to inform the Mozambican government that Samora Moses Machel died in a plane crash and the inquiry proved that he was killed by white soldiers.
