President Lazarus Chakwera continues with his crop inspection tour across the country as this morning is in Ntcheu district.
Chakwera’s first stop was at Kam’bebe village, Traditional Authority-T/A Njolomole where Lilongwe Agriculture Development Division-ADD Programme Manager, Sheila Kang’ombe has told the President that effects of climate change and disasters have been challenging in this year’s growing season thereby reducing the ADD’s crop production to 10%.
The President will also visit Bula village, Senior Chief Makwangwala before holding a development rally at Kuyenda school in the district.
Last month, the Malawi leader visited Mangochi, Thyolo and Zomba where he observed that problems facing farmers in the country are common.
