- The United States has carried out new strikes on an Iranian military site allegedly posing a threat to US forces and maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, according to news reports.
- Iranian media have reported that US forces struck near the Bandar Abbas port, causing no damage or casualties.
- Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) later said it launched an attack on an “American airbase” in retaliation for the Bandar Abbas strike, and warned of “more decisive” action should US “aggression” continue, according to state media.
- Kuwait’s military said its air defences confronted “hostile” missiles and drones, without providing information on where the attack came from.
- The Israeli military has issued forced displacement orders for the entire population of southern Lebanon, threatening them to flee north of the Zahrani River, some 40km (25 miles) from Israel’s border, as all areas south of the river are now “combat zones“.
- Aid agencies warn of an “absolute catastrophe” in southern Lebanon amid Israel’s attacks and its intensifying ground invasion.
