FDH Bank Donates K61.6 million To Mary’s Meals Organization

FDH Bank plc has donated K61.6 million to Mary’s Meals organization to facilitate its feeding programme at Chiwambo Primary School in Mulanje District.

The bank’s Head of Corporate and Investment Banking, Kawawa Msapato says they intervened after seeing the good work that the organization is championing in ensuring that children attend school and that their needs are taken care of.

“Mary’s Meals is doing a lot of work in feeding over a million children in government schools. We felt this is a noble cause that resonates well with one of our pillars, which is ensuring that children receive education. We believe this will reduce school dropout rates as the children’s needs are being taken care of,” says Msapato.
Mary Meals Country Director, Angela Chipeta Khonje has since hailed the bank for the kind gesture while pledging to use the donation for its intended purpose.

“This donation means a lot to the children of Malawi, as the amount translates to feeding 1500 children for the entire academic year. This is a huge investment in the education sector, and we will ensure that the donation is used for its intended purpose,” Khonje says.
