Freedom fighter and activist Kamlepo Kalua, has claimed that senior Police officers are meeting in Blantyre to change election results for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to be at 48 percent and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to be at 22 percent for a possible Re-Run.
Kalua said these officers are all aware that Malawians will not allow for a Re-Run to take place because Professor Mutharika was already declared the winner by unofficial results and as such, they will flood the country’s cities, town, and districts to protect their vote.
He said to quell the situation, police will use teargas to be dispersing protesters claiming that innocent lives will be lost saying the order has allegedly come from Mr. Davie Mpesi (Mec Chief Executive Officer) and Mr. Daud Suleiman (MACRA)while Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja has rejected this move.

He said the officers who include S/Supt Mthinda, Supt Raphael, Supt Kuweruza and Supt Kamphandira have been tasked to do this job in the southern region of Malawi saying they are allegedly conniving with court judges to file a case against DPP of vote rigging.
The activist has recalled that it was the same audit demonstrations in Lilongwe which led activist Sylvester Namiwa bruised in front of MDF and Malawi Police officers at their watch without rescuing him from the attackers on 26th June, 2025 leaving him half-dead.

Kalua has claimed that soon after Mec has announced that there’s no clear winner, the country will go for a Re-Run, police officers will be in the streets fighting with the people advising President Chakwera to accept that he has failed, Malawians have spoken.
He said President Chakwera came into government through elections and it is the same election that has taken Chakwera out of leadership responsibility advising President Chakwera to love Malawi as the only country God has given to his people.
The freedom fighter has pleaded with former President Chakwera’s ministers to advise him to accept defeat honorably than the US soldiers or other foreign soldiers coming into the country to remove him for a peaceful handover of power.
Kalua has finally urged DPP and peace-loving Malawians to go to the streets celebrating Professor Mutharika’s victory and to President Chakwera, he should go home in peace, he will not be arrested, Malawians will look after him as their former Head of State.
