Hope For Improved Efficiency As Maneb Launches E-System

Education authorities are optimistic that the e-registration and e-payment systems that the Malawi National Examinations Board-MANEB has launched will greatly help in reducing the pressure and struggle associated with the manual payment method that has been under implementation for years. Deputy Minister of Education Monica Chang'anamuno shared the sentiments on Wednesday in Lilongwe when she officially presided over the launch of the new system. Maneb Releases 2022 PSLCE Examinations Results

The Ministry of Education in conjunction with the Malawi National Examination Board has released this year's Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education Examination (PSLCE) results. At a press briefing in Lilongwe, MANEB Executive Director, Dorothy Nampota, said of the 260, 295 students who sat the 2022 PSLCE, 216, 664 have passed, representing 83.24 percent pass rate. Nampota said this year's pass rate compared to the 2021 results was 83.83 percent. Nampota further said in 2022, a total of 266, 616 candidates registered for the examinations. On selection to Form One, Minister of Education, Agnes Nyalonje said 89, 404 have been selected, representing 41 percent.
