NYCOM Chief Executive Officer Rhoda Gadama Misomali said this year’s summit will focus on reviewing achievements made since previous gatherings while exploring strategies to address persistent issues such as youth unemployment, access to quality education, skills development, healthcare and the growing importance of technology in national development.
She said the discussions will also examine how young people can take advantage of opportunities in key economic sectors including agriculture, tourism, mining and manufacturing. In addition, delegates will explore ways of promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and digital transformation as tools for creating jobs and improving livelihoods.
Misomali has appealed to the government, the private sector, development partners, the media and young people from across the country to actively participate in the summit, describing it as an important platform for building partnerships that can drive youth empowerment.
As part of the event, outstanding young Malawians who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation and community impact will be honoured through the Youth Impact and Leadership Awards, a recognition aimed at inspiring more young people to become agents of positive change.President Mutharika Urged to Revoke Nir Ges’ Diplomatic Passport Amid Outgoing MCP Scandal
