The political parties DPP, UDF, UTM, AFORD, and the Economic Freedom Movement (EFM) are organizing a press conference at the AFORD party headquarters in Area 47. The event aims to discuss the expected demonstrations planned for tomorrow.
The demonstrations are calling for the resignation of the Chairperson of the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC), Annabel Mtalimanja, and the Director of Elections, Andrew Mpesi, due to alleged misconduct in the handling of election processes.

The political parties have also called for the resignation of the head of the National Registration Bureau (NRB), Mphatso Sambo, over what they describe as mismanagement of the voter registration process.
They have urged all Malawians and their supporters to join the demonstrations tomorrow in a show of solidarity for electoral reforms.
