Mpinganjira, Others, Joins MCP

Veteran politician, Brown Mpinganjira, has dumped the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and joined the Malawi Congress Party ( MCP)

In an interview with Malawi Broadcasting Corporation, Mpinganjira pleaded for patience among Malawians as the country’s leadership is committed to addressing the socio-economic challenges the country is experiencing at the moment.

Commenting on the defection, Second Deputy Secretary General of the MCP, Gerald Kazembe, said this is a sign that the party is growing from strength to strength.

Other than Mpinganjira, the MCP has also welcomed into the party, Henry Phoya, Allan Chiyembekeza and Friday Jumbe.
