DPP lawmaker Richard Shukran Kalitendere has thrown his support behind Speaker of Parliament Sameer Suleman, saying his message on leadership and accountability should not be ignored.
In a Facebook post, Kalitendere urged MPs to stop prioritising personal wealth and instead focus on serving Malawians with honesty, transparency and commitment.
“Malawians need leaders who put their interests first, not those who put money in their pockets,” he said.
Kalitendere challenged lawmakers to abandon greed and selfishness, warning that public office should be about serving the people, not enriching oneself.
In a striking personal reflection, he added that even he had changed from the person he once was, ending with the words: “Thank God, there is God in heaven.”
