Fire Chizuma, Discipline Kayuni, HRCC Tells Chakwera
The Human Rights Consultative Committee (HRCC) has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to act on the recommendations of the commission of inquiry into the arrest of Director General of the Anti Corruption Bureau Martha Chizuma.
Speaking at a press conference in Lilongwe on Friday, HRCC board chairperson Robert Mkwezalamba urged Chakwera to prove to Malawians that he is different from his predecessors who never acted on the findings of commissions of inquiry.
HRCC says the president should act immediately to fire Martha Chizuma and discipline Steve Kayuni so that the fight against corruption is not interrupted.
