Social commentator Dr. Samuel Lwara, says party endorsements of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and Dr. Lazarus Chakwera as the 16th September, 2025 Presidential elections torchbearers have produced no impact to Malawians.
Lwara said the old age of Professor Mutharika is speaking for itself that the race to the 16th September, 2025 elections is not fit for him expressing doubts if he will be available during the campaign period or he will assign other people to campaign for him.
He said Malawians are not interested to vote for an old man into the office of the presidency questioning them why voting for an old person when the country has Dr. Dalitso Kabambe who is an energetic person fit for presidency?
Speaking through an audio clip, Lwara said Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika was endorsed in 2014 claiming that many Malawians supported him and this time, mindset change to Dr. Kabambe who is travelling in all parts of the country selling himself to the voters.
Lwara said as for endorsement of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, there is nothing to write about, they endorsed a man who has failed Malawians, a man not ready to rule Malawians, a man full of indecisive actions not fit for presidency.
He said ever since Malawians voted for Dr. Chakwera into office, the country has gone the worst in both living standards of people and economy itself, the country is meeting everyday challenges such as forex, electricity, sugar scarcity, no drugs in hospitals, and many others.
The social commentator said Malawians in the Chakwera regime are suffering more than they were in the previous governments and many people are regretting to have voted for a man who others take him as an ordained Priest while he is not.
He has appealed to registered voters to reflect back to the sufferings they have gone through and the years from 2025 to 2030 when President Chakwera can have another mandate of ruling the country, where would the people and the country be?
“No vote to President Chakwera, let only those who are singing for him Boma ndilomweli silikuchoka vote for Chakwera but as for the rest of Malawians, let’s go for Dr. Dalitso Kabambe.” Said Lwara.
Lwara said Professor Mutharika is a statesman, people have his vote in their hands but they need to know where is he as Malawians want him to explain how he is going to turn around the economy of the country destroyed by President Chakwera.
He said the country need transparency and accountability of its democracy advising the DPP not to repeat the bad history of 2011 of the Professor Bingu Wa Mutharika saying Malawians don’t want to hear from anyone in the DPP but Mutharika himself.
