United Transformation Movement’s (UTM) President Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, has called for a thorough and independent enquiry into the tragic death of the late Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima whose passing remains a matter of deep concern.
Kabambe said addressing circumstances surrounding Dr. Saulosi Chilima with transparency and urgency, will help bring closure to the nation and reaffirm their collective commitment to justice and accountability.
Writing in his congratulatory message to Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the DPP dated 21st September, 2025 Dr. Kabambe said the democratic process has spoken and the will of the Malawian people has to be respected and upheld.Kalua alerts Malawians 68 percent win for Mutharika
Kabambe said a peaceful transfer of power will be a testament to the maturity for the country’s democracy and the resilience of the nation, urging all stakeholders, supporters, and citizens to remain committed to peace, unity, and the collective development of the country.
“Electoral victories are a mandate for service, not retribution, I call upon Professor Mutharika to prioritize inclusive governance, healing divisions, and rebuilding the nation’s economy,” reads Dr. Kabambe’s congratulatory message to Mutharika in part.Malawi Election Update: Mutharika Beats President in Popularity Rankings
Kabambe said Malawi needs everyone working together, regardless of political differences, to foster stability and prosperity.
A voice of the voiceless citizen of Malawi Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, has saluted all leaders who have already conceded defeat saying this is true statesmanship, and patriotism observing that by conceding, they have shown respect for the people’s will saying this is the spirit Malawians must all embrace if their democracy is to prevail.
Comrade Jumbe said the people of Malawi have spoken, and their voice is the voice of change saying leadership must respect that voice and to ignore, is to spit against the wind- it will only fall back on their own face.
“As a nation, let us walk in peace, as a leader-let us show maturity, and as citizens, let us remember “the calabash of unity holds more water than the pot of division,” reads Comrade Jumbe’s writings on the wall.
