Mighty Wanderers have suffered a brutal CAF Champions League exit after being demolished 6-1 by Simba Sports Club at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
The defeat means the Nomads are out 7-1 on aggregate, following Simba’s narrow 1-0 victory in the first leg at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
Wanderers were already in serious trouble at half-time, trailing 3-1, despite Isaac Kaliati pulling one goal back for the Malawian giants.
Simba then turned the second half into a nightmare for the Nomads, adding three more goals to complete a humiliating 6-1 victory.
After an eight-year wait to return to the CAF Champions League, Wanderers’ campaign has ended in devastating fashion.
Final: Simba SC 6 (7) – 1 (1) Mighty Wanderers.
