Counsel Silvester Ayuba James says in Malawi, everything is judged from the point of politics saying this is why the country is moving backward.

However, the much – touted parade has been cancelled but many are suggesting that politics is said to have taken centre stage as reports were indicating that former President who is also MCP leader Dr. Lazarus Chakwera was believed to be part of the parade he being an Arsenal fan.

Writing on his Facebook page, Counsel Ayuba James, said the real reason the Arsenal victory parade has not been granted a clearance by Police in Lilongwe is because Dr. Lazarus Chakwera was expected to join as an Arsenal fan.

A concerned citizen of Malawi Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda of Area 51 in Lilongwe, has advised real Arsenal fans to prepare for a victory parade to be held in either Mzuzu or Blantyre and not in Lilongwe.

She said for five years of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP government, MCP panga wielding thugs declared Lilongwe a no – go zone to opposition political parties and activists holding peaceful demonstrations saying this time around, it is time for the DPP and there’s no need for MCP to organize its political activities in Lilongwe.
