Ekhaya head coach Enos Chatama has insisted his side remains on course to become one of Malawi’s top football clubs by 2028 despite being held to a goalless draw by FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in an FDH Bank Premiership match played on Sunday at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre.

The coach admitted he was disappointed with his players’ display, saying they failed to reach the performance standards the technical panel expects.

“I am not happy with how we played because we did not reach the level we want. However, this result does not worry us too much because we are still building this team. Our goal is to have Ekhaya competing for major trophies by 2028,” said Chatama.

The draw leaves Ekhaya fifth on the FDH Bank Premiership table with 16 points, five behind leaders Mighty Wanderers, who have collected 21 points. FCB Nyasa Big Bullets occupy third place with 20 points after 10 league matches.
