Chilima Presides Over Chaplaincy Ministry Conference

Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima is this morning presiding over the official closing ceremony of Council of Chaplaincy Ministry (COCHAM) Second International Conference of Chaplains in Malawi.

The five-day conference was also attended by delegates from Zambia and Zimbabwe.

COCHAM was established in 2018 to among others promote spirituality in various institutions including hospitals, churches, the military, prisons and the police among others.

The conference also seeks to ensure that in future, Daeyang University, should be offering certificates in chaplaincy following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between COCHAM and the institution.

The theme for this year’s conference is: ‘Dialogue, Digging and Diversity of Chaplaincy Ministry.
