Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital says it needs modern infrastructure to meet demand for quality healthcare.
The hospital’s Director Dr Kelvin Mponda said this when Muslim Association of Malawi, MAM donated assorted medical items to the hospital on Monday.
Mponda commended MAM for the donation, which he said would build the hospital’s capacity to provide quality services.
Presenting the donation, Chairperson of MAM, Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad pledged the association’s continued support towards the hospital.
MAM has donated 20 theater beds and mattresses, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and chambers.
The donation has been made by Sharja charity, based in the United Arab Emirates.
