Mangochi claims he only fear God not politicians

Karonga based rights activist Lytone Mangochi has claimed that he only fear God who is in Heaven and not MCP politicians who are instructing police officers to go and arrest who and who to silence them from speaking against the MCP government and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Mangochi has assured the police that even politicians can send them for a number of times to arrest him and throw him into Mzuzu Maximum Prison, he won’t close his mouth, threatened and intimidated, stress and Blood Pressure cannot kill him.

He has welcomed police officers who are being sent by MCP politicians to keep on arresting him assuring them that even the late Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda who was a dictator failed to govern Malawians for life, he died leaving Malawi as it is today.

Speaking through an audio clip, Mangochi has given Junior Prison Warders at Mzuzu Maximum Prison 14 days for stealing his K50,000 claiming that these officers are doing this to many inmates because their salaries are too small and cannot meet their everyday life situation demands.

Mangochi said while he was in the hands of police officers, his K3,000 was also stolen and was given back the money speaking for itself that civil servants are going through pain and sufferings during the reign of President Chakwera and his MCP.

He said it is sad that in a country where there’s no fuel, police officers have reserved fuel which they are wasting instructed by MCP politicians to arrest anyone who deem to be a critic to MCP and President Chakwera.

“Police have fuel reserves used to be hunting and arresting innocent people that are exercising free speech in a country of democracy,” said Mangochi.

He has thanked Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, Enock Chihana and all Comrades of Karonga and Mzuzu including Bon Kalindo, Pastor Moses Shumba, Dr. Samuel Lwara and others, for coming to support him while he was in the hands of police officers.

Mangochi has advised opposition parties DPP, UTM, AFORD, UDF, and PP to watch out and wake-up following Vice President Dr. Michael Usi who has formed his political party with the combination of UTM and PP colours speaking for itself that he is an MCP operative.

He has appealed to opposition parties to stand together in “Osafooka, Osaopa slogan” for the MCP government to arrest all in a quest for free, fair, transparent and credible September, 2025 General Elections assuring the police that he is ready to die in their hands as on 5th February, 2025 he will be at their door steps.
