Karonga based rights activist Comrade Lytone Mangochi, has assured Malawians that he loves Malawi with all of his heart and he will not stop advising the DPP to do better till the end.
Mangochi said he used to advise former President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to do better but he did not listen, in September, 2025, Malawians voted him out of government without mercy.
He said DPP senior members after knowing themselves that they cannot liberate the country from the shackles of MCP and Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s dictatorship and quest to return the country to a one party state, they went to Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to plead with him to listen to the calls of Malawians to stand as DPP presidential candidate.
Speaking through a video clip, Comrade Mangochi said Professor Mutharika accepted to liberate the country from MCP saying many including activists and journalists joined him in the campaign hoping that Malawi will change to the better from destruction by the MCP.
Mangochi said on a sad note, DPP ministers have grown wings, they have completely forgotten those who did everything possible for the party to bounce back into government.
He has claimed that ever since the party was elected into government, it has not held any National Governing Council (NGC) meeting to review where they are coming from and the future.
Mangochi has reminded the DPP that there were some prominent business people like Mr. Manyanya, Mr. Mahame, Mr. Maideni, and Mr. Bangwe saying these people are complaining bitterly for not being recognized as playing a central role towards DPP success in the campaign period.
He said him was speaking with a court bail in his pocket, foot soldiers defied panga wielding thugs threats from patronizing demonstrations, saying all this was for the DPP to get into government.
“Ministers stopped from answering phone calls from foot soldiers, greedy has multiplied in their hearts, taking these foot soldiers as useless people,” said Comrade Mangochi.
He has assured these greedy DPP ministers that he will never step his foot into their offices because they are not listening people saying they will only hear his voices through video clips.
Mangochi has finally advised the DPP that they have full four years to correct what went wrong for foot soldiers, activists, journalists, and patriotic Malawians to restore their trust in the party warning the party that as things are being seen today, DPP’s future and the quest to bounce back, are hanging in the balance.
