Umunthu Plus Organization Donates Items To Floods Victims

By Suleman Chitera Jan22,2023

Umunthu Plus Organization, with support from Cross Roads Foundation in Hong Kong, has donated assorted items to households hit by disasters in six Traditional Authorities in Nkhotakota.

The organization has also supported eight schools with textbooks and the district health office with medical supplies.

Its Programs Manager, Faida Amulani Phiri says it is their mandate to reach out to the needy.

Edward Lyson from Community Based Care Center, which has also benefitted from the donation, describes the received support as timely as it will help children and encourage others just staying in their homes.

Meanwhile, District Social Welfare Officer, Macdonald Mpichi is grateful to the organization for the support while calling others to emulate the gesture to help the needy.
