20 Million Collected At Bingu Stadium

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) would like to report that the NBS Bank Charity Shield match involving FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers on Sunday 9th April 2023 at Bingu National Stadium was a success.

The match was aimed at raising funds to support victims of the tropical cyclone Freddy.

Through the 2023 NBS Bank Charity Shield, FAM managed to raise MK20.351 million in net revenue which is almost double the MK10.343 million which was raised last year and the highest since the Charity Shield was introduced in 2016.

In addition to the MK20.351 million from the NBS Bank Charity Shield, FAM will also channel MK10,148,160 from the revenue realized from the AFCON qualifier match between Malawi and Egypt for the cause in response to the public appeal made by the State President, His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera
