10 children are expected to undergo cleft lip and cleft pallet surgeries under an initiative by Operation Smile Malawi in collaboration with the Malawi Government.
The surgeries for the children have been made possible through a one million kwacha sponsorship by MyBucks Banking Corporation.
Speaking in Lilongwe during the presentation of the donation, MyBucks Malawi’s Marketing Manager, Lindani Nkosi said “we are pleased to be a part of operation smile’s life changing initiative as it will see our young children joyfully express their beautiful smiles again whenever they need to”.
In accepting the donation, Operation Smile’s Program Manager, Ibrahim Nthalika expressed gratitude towards MyBucks financial support and also appreciated the help that government gives them, through the Kamuzu Central Hospital whereby they give them a full cancer patient ward where patients are kept.
